Slow Mornings

To keep track of time, I’ve been trying to have a few routines every day. I normally get up and if I’m in the mood for it, I try to do some meditation and a lighter workout. After that I make myself breakfast, followed by a shower. Then I put on somewhat of a face and some clothes (even if it’s just sweatpants and a sweater). Around 11 or 12 I usually make myself a cup of coffee (which is now pretty much the highlight of my day). And the next “routines” on the schedule is lunch and dinner. In between these moments I do whatever I feel like doing that day/deal with things I have to do – whether it’s work, cleaning, doing dished, cleaning out my closet or whatever you’d like to fill those little windows with. It probably doesn’t sound like much of a routine but just having those few moments in my day that reoccur every day, makes me feel a little bit more sane to be honest.
