That One Hour

Reality is, as we all know, a little bit (read: very) strange right now. I never thought that my highlight, and most dreaded moment during the week would be going to the grocery store. Highlight because that means I get to be outside for a short moment while walking to and from the grocery store. Dreaded because it’s scary to be around so many people, touching the produce and having to come so close with what’s going on outside your own apartment doors. Everything becomes so real when walking down the deserted streets and seeing everyone you cross covering their mouth and nose… Never did I think that I would live what we’re all living today. But during that walk to and from the grocery store (or the walk I try to take sometimes to just move my legs a little bit) has made me walk the entire way with my head tilted back so that I can see the sky, soak up as much sunlight as I possibly can and to enjoy the signs of spring that I can’t see from my windows.
