To end this already quite unbelievably stay in Cannes I went to the amfAR gala together with Instagram. You know how some people dream about winning a Grammy, visiting China or learning how to fly a plane? Well, my dream (at least one of them) has been to attend this specific gala. Why? I'm not entirely sure but after seeing the photos from this event throughout the years I've always wished to be there myself. The amfAR gala is held at Hotel du Cap, a hotel I've had on the top of my wish-list of places to visit around the world, and a dream for anyone who has the slightest interest in looking at pretty gowns.

The purpose of the gala is to raise money for AIDS research and throughout the dinner different items and experiences (like a stay at Leonardo DiCaprio's home in Palm Springs, a camouflage painted Ferrari, 32 designer dresses, Adrien Brody's art piece and several other things) are being auctioned off for more money than I could ever imagine making in a lifetime. I sat completely mesmerised (while sipping champagne and eating my breadsticks) while watching Kevin Spacey introduce celebrities on stage, even though most people seemed to be there to mingle and show off instead of actually listening to what the speakers had to say, and didn't want to miss a single moment of this spectacular event. Thank you Instagram for having me and making a personal dream come true.
